Vova, one of the children visiting in 2005, was partially blinded at an early age through an accident at school. Through the generosity of local consultants he received much needed treatment and was fitted with cosmetic lenses.

Sergei is a boy of 12 from Belarus who was mauled by a dog at the age of 4. He stayed in the UK with the Coton family for a year, and received treatment courtesy of Capio Ashtead Hospital.

In 2005, one child, Ksenia (Ksusha), had a bad squint. Through the generosity of local consultants, specialists and hospitals, she received diagnosis and treatment.
